100 Top Military Photos
This is a collection of the Top 100 Military Photographs.
Our chapter first used this at the Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal Awards Luncheon, held on 10 March 2009 at Hoban Hall on Barksdale AFB. The presentation comes from Military Times Publishing Company insert to the 25 Sept 2000 issues of Army/Navy/AF Times. Many people in attendance at the luncheon wanted to see the photos again, so we decided to include it on our website. The luncheon was co-hosted by the Ark-La-Tex Chapter of MOAA and Col Steve dePyssler was the organizer.

2012 Chapter Scholarships
Scholarship Applications Now Available
Deadline: Monday, April 16, 2012.

Call Scholarship Chairman George Finck at (318) 965-4124 or by e-mail to gfincksr@gmail.com. The Chapter will award a minimum of five $2,000 scholarships and fifteen $1,000 scholarships. The total number of scholarships and their value will be determined by chapter members who give a little extra when paying dues, by establishment of Memorial
The Chapter accepts donations for memorial or special designated scholarships and the Chapter will match these donations up to $1,000 to fund a $2,000 scholarship. Call Scholarship Chairman George Finck if you would like to establish a Memorial Scholarship. Scholarship donors will be invited to the Chapter’s June 23rd Scholarship Dinner to personally award the scholarships they sponsored.
The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is Monday, April 16, 2012. Applications received after that date will not be considered.

Don't miss out on this valuable chapter benefit if you have children, grandchildren or even great-grandchildren graduating from high school this year!
Scholarships, and by donations for special designated scholarships. The Chapter will award a minimum of sixteen academic scholarships to children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of Ark-La-Tex chapter members and four leadership scholarships will be awarded to Junior ROTC cadets who will enter a college ROTC program or military academy in the fall. All scholarship applicants must be graduating high school seniors, class of 2012, who will enter a college program in the fall of 2012. All scholarship applicants will be evaluated on academic performance, demonstrated leadership in school and community activities, earned honors, neatness and completeness of the application, and a mandatory essay. Financial need is not a consideration.
